July 2022 Pamlico Pix: John Deaton, Robbin Haigler, Ron Kilby
Welcome to Pamlico Pix, a monthly look at the beautiful photography coming out of Pamlico County. If you would like your photo to be considered, please email it along with a short summery of who you are and how you did it to: [email protected]
(All photos are welcome, including smart phone photography or photos of old prints.)
Photo by John Deaton: "(This photo) was taken while running up river to an assistance call in New Bern. It was taken the night of the full eclipse from the deck of the TowBoat/US vessel, ‘Captain Ralph’. The color in the water is the reflection of the red/yellow strobe light. The point of land is Wilkerson Point just east of the Minnesott ferry landing.”
Photo by Robbin Haigler: Robbin photographed this scene while on an outing with the Coastal Photo Club. She wrote, "it was the experience (in talking to people who lived there) and the pride they had sharing history as well as their willingness to share with total strangers that I remember most."
Photo by Ron Kilby: "We are very lucky to live along beautiful Trent Creek in Pamlico County. The creek was calm and I was fortunate to get the reflection in the water. The photo was taken with my cell phone."
Send any photos of Pamlico County my way, especially if they show some of our history or your own family memories. [email protected]
