Introducing Pamlico Pix: Share your photos with Down in the County!
I know there are many photographers in Pamlico County—I’d love to see your photos and interview you!
Oriental, by Marsha Shirk
For those of you who have recently joined Down in the County, welcome! So glad you are joining us for this weekly deep-dive into the people and places of Pamlico County, NC.
Join me in telling the stories of the county’s people, nature and history by emailing your favorite photo of the county to [email protected].
As a new monthly feature of Down in the County, I will choose a photograph of Pamlico County and interview the person who captured it. Please include the who-what-when-where of the photo, as well as the best way to get in touch with you. Use a smart phone or a camera, whichever is your tool of choice!
As the first of our Pamlico Pix, I present a photo by Marsha Shirk, the original owner of M & M’s Restaurant in Oriental. (I am also lucky to call her mom.)
This painterly photo of the Oriental Harbor Marina from taken on Water Street on February 9, 2021 at 5:15 pm. She photographed this beautiful scene with her cell phone while walking her dogs, Beanie and Ralphie.
Send your Pamlico Pix my way by emailing them to: [email protected]
