February 2023 Pamlico Pix: Emily Greenberg, Jackie Austin and Mark Brubaker
Welcome to Pamlico Pix, a monthly look at the beautiful photography coming out of Pamlico County, NC. If you would like your photo to be considered, please email it along with a short summary of who you are and how you did it: [email protected]
Photo by Emily Greenberg, "Anna Jordan visited Oriental this week traveling on a 68 foot steel schooner with her husband, a former commercial fisherman, and their two young daughters. They salvaged the boat from the Bahamas, but it was originally built in North Carolina. How they got the ship was also thanks to North Carolinians who live in oriental, who helped them make the purchase. After years of work and paying back their debt the floating family is very much at home on the sea. "
Photo provided by Jackie Austin, "Sunsets at Minnesott on the Neuse are just magical especially during the fall and winter months. I live here on the river with my husband Bob. Been here since 2011 when we moved from London. I took this with my iPhone on Sunday 23rd October 2022 at 6pm.So serene and peaceful at the end of a beautiful day living at the beach!"
Photo by Mark Brubaker, "I took this photo on Dawson Creek in mid-October, 2022 as I was heading out to fish. It was a beautiful, clear day with a ton of fog on smooth water all the way to the ocean."
