What Down in the County has in store for 2025

Dear friend,

Thank you for reading Down in the County!

My hope is that our publication brings the people of our community closer together and gives us a place to record the history of our beautiful and diverse county.

Down in the County has a busy year ahead of us. By placing a donation, you will help grow our publication by providing resources for the following:

• Our own reporter-in-residence to provide local photography and reporting

• Local investigative stories

• Help for local students to hone their journalism skills

• A professional, complete website

• Up-to-date reports and visuals on social media

• A full-service events page for the entire county

• A space for local businesses to advertise

Since we’re a community-supported organization, you have the power to help bring these plans to fruition. We are not beholden to shareholders or corporate interests because we answer to our community, which means that we need your support.

There are only one day left in our year-end fundraiser. We need 40 more people to make a one-time or monthly donation to help us meet our goal of $20,000. Will you get us across the finish line and have your donation doubled when you contribute by midnight on December 31?
