Tuesday, November 4 is election day in Pamlico County. The only municipal election happening this year is in Oriental.

The election is for Mayor and all five Commissioner seats. Mayor Sally Belangia is running unopposed.

Eleven candidates are running for the five commissioner seats. Candidates are: Gregory Bohmert, Iris Cooper, Paul Fairbank, Mary Ellen Ham, Paul Jordan, Bob Maxbauer, Chris Moffat, Don McGuire, Lou Ostendorff and incumbents Allen Price and Bonnie Crosser.

Oriental’s polling place is:

South Pamlico Volunteer Fire Department 182 Straight Road Oriental, NC 28571

Polls are open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. You will need a photo ID to vote.
