Consent Agenda (routine items to voted on and usually don’t require discussion):

  • Approved: Untimely Application for Property Tax Relief.

    • Linda Lewis, under elderly exclusion, submitted an Application for Property Tax Relief 11 days after the deadline of June 1st. Commissioners approved her application to go-through.

  • Approved: Pamlico Health Department’s bad debt write-off of $11,825.91.

    • The purpose, according to the health department, is to, “allow Pamlico County Health Department to write-off bills that has been deemed uncollectible for longer than 24 months.” The revenue is not expected anymore.

  • Approved: Request by Dare County Board of Commissioners to include Pamlico in the proposed Coastal County Fishery Coalition.

    • A group of counties that want to “defend and support” the commercial fishers.

    • If solidified, Candy Bohmert will serve as the representative.

    • First meeting is planned for next month.

  • Approved: Kenny Health to serve as Pamlico’s voting delegate at the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners annual state-wide conference in August.

  • Approved: County fee schedule for Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) Minor Development permit increase.

    • The Division of Coastal Management notified the county that CAMA Minor Development permits, to develop around fragile areas like rivers, sounds, and waterways, were going to increase from $100 to $119. The county changed the fee schedule to reflect this—meaning that the listed amount of a CAMA Minor Development permit changed in county documents to reflect change.

  • Approved: Public Hearing for Solar Energy and Wind Farm Ordinances to July 21, 2025 regular session meeting @7 pm at the Courthouse Annex in Bayboro.
