“Biber to Bach: Captivating Concertos for Strings,” presented by The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra at Bethany Christian Church (8126 Highway 306, at the intersection of 306 and Kershaw Rd in Arapahoe), 7 p.m.

Books on the Go, the CPRL Bookmobile is on the Move. This week the book mobile will be in Vandemere from 12-3 and then in Hobucken from 3-5 p.m.

Oriental’s History Museum honors the men and women from Oriental who served in WWII with a new exhibit running March 11 - July 30

“Finishing the Mural Party,” A celebration of Don Henderson and his community mural at the Old Town Hall building at 505 New St, Oriental. Come by at 5 p.m. to put the finishing touches on the mural, and then at 6:00 p.m. celebrate with a live band, food and drink.

SailPack Regatta in Oriental (April 23-24) The Sailpack Regatta in Oriental is an official inter-conference event recognized by the ICSA, the governing body of college sailing. There are 20 collegiate teams participating in two days of sailing. Silos hosts a pig-pickin’ Friday night.

Midori, a child prodigy and internationally renowned concert violinist for over 30 years performs at The Old Theater in Oriental, presented by the Pamlico Musical Society, 7:30 p.m.
